Random Business

First, I have a question for my bookish friends: How long do you give a book to impress you before you throw in the towel? How bad does it have to be for you to give it up? What if you intend to read it some other time?

Also, I have discovered interlibrary loans. Yay! I have requested The Broken Kingdoms and Cold Magic...they should be in by the end of this week. :)

It is exam week but...meh. Priorities. :P

Oh, both of those are on my list–well, the first installment of Inheritance is, anyway.

I am one of those people who will power through a book, even if it's bad–at some point, it becomes a battle of wills, and I'm not going to let some hack beat me! …ahem.

But I will take it off my reading list if it offends me–Islamophobia and queerphobia particularly offend me–and, if I rifle through the first few pages and am not in the mood, I'll toss it back on the pile (which, of course, means returning it to the library.)

Hahaha. I may toss the one I've tried back in the pile...it's one I own so that'd be pretty easy to do. :)
